(BOWIE, MD – June 2, 2010) Junior defensive back Kenneth Turner has been named to the Lindy’s Pre-Season Division II All-America Second Team.Last season Turner (Oxon Hill, MD / Oxon Hill HS), was a member of the 2009 All-CIAA Defensive Second Team. Tuner topped the CIAA in Passes Defended (14), tied for third in conference interceptions (5) and ranked sixth on the team in total tackles (32).
Other CIAA honorees include Malcolm Jenkins of Elizabeth City State (First Team, OL), David Mims of Virginia Union (First Team, OL), Marcus McElveen of Shaw (Second Team, OL), Marcus Crump (Saint Augustine’s, DL) and Akeem Deloatch of Livingstone (Second Team, DB).
The Bulldogs will kick off the 2010 schedule on Saturday, August 28th at Seton Hill University (Greensburg, PA) at 3 pm.
