WSSU Football Season Tickets Available For Purchase June 10 Ticket packages for WSSU’s five home games on sale Wednesday Chis Zona WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Winston-Salem State University Interim Director of Athletics, Tonia Walker has announced that season ticket packages and single game tickets for 2009 WSSU Football will go on sale beginning Wednesday, June 10 at 10:00 am. Tickets for WSSU’s five-game home schedule will be available at three different consumer-friendly price levels with an “early bird” discount being available until August 15, 2009. The Rams will open the season on Aug. 29 with the Annual Meet the Rams and Family Day Cookout at Bowman Gray Stadium. The event serves as an opportunity to introduce the Rams to the WSSU community and the city of Winston-Salem. WSSU will enter into their fourth year of a five-year transition to the NCAA Division I level in the fall of 2009 and will again play a full complement of Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference games with the home schedule highlighted by MEAC home games against North Carolina A&T in the Time Warner Cable I-40 Showdown on Sept. 5, Florida A&M on Oct. 12, Hampton for Homecoming 2009 on Oct. 31 and Delaware State on Nov. 7 as well a non-conference tilt in the 43rd meeting between the Rams and Eagles of North Carolina Central on Nov. 14. “The 2009 home schedule is one that we are certain our fans will enjoy. We have enhanced the game day promotions which are sure to add to the overall fan experience. We have a very balanced schedule with five home games and we are looking forward to packing Bowman Gray Stadium to cheer for our Rams” Walker commented. For the first time ever the Rams will offer three different tiers of pricing for reserve seating to ensure that fans are able to purchase the best tickets available. “Given the stressful economic situation we have attempted to offer our loyal WSSU fans options for their season ticket needs. With this pricing we have tried to make sure that our fans have the ability to purchase seats that are the right fit for their budget” WSSU Interim Director of Athletics, Tonia Walker added. WSSU fans can purchase “Ram Mania” general admission season tickets for the early bird price of $75 prior to Aug. 15 when they will increase to $95. Fans wishing to purchase “Ram Seatbacks” reserve season tickets may do so for the early bird price of $85 prior to Aug. 15 when they increase to $115. 300 seatbacks have been added to this section to enhance the reserve seating capacity in Bowman Gray Stadium and to account for increased demand. Rounding out the three-tiered ticket pricing are WSSU’s best tickets in the “Red and White Reserved Section”. The 247 premium seats may be purchased for the early bird price of only $95 with prices increasing to $125 after Aug. 15. In addition to tiered pricing levels, the WSSU Department of Athletics announced that they will be offering a $50 “Faculty and Staff” season package which allows employees at WSSU to purchase a general admission ticket to every home game for only $10 per game. As well, a “Family Plan” will be offered on a game-by-game basis that will afford a family of four the ability to catch one game of exciting WSSU gridiron action for only $40. The family four pack includes four general admission tickets for only $10 each and can be purchased for any of WSSU’s contests except for the Time Warner Cable I-40 Showdown versus North Carolina A&T on Sept. 5 and the Rams’ homecoming contest versus Hampton on Oct. 31.
