(BOWIE, Md.) The Bowie State University Lady Bulldogs clinched the CIAA Eastern Division title after sweeping Saint Paul's College 12-11 and 15-4. Bowie State remains perfect in the division at 8-0 and improved to 11-1 in the CIAA.

(BOWIE, Md.) Five Bowie State University seniors were sent off in fine fashion, sweeping Elizabeth City State University 5-2 and 12-5. The wins improve the Lady Bulldogs to 6-0 in the CIAA Eastern Division and 8-1 in the conference.
Shaw’s Grimmage and Cooper Given CIAA Softball Honors

(Raleigh, NC) – For the third straight week, Shaw’s Monica Grimmage has been named CIAA Softball Player of the Week for the week ending March 28. Teammate Erneisha Cooper was named Offensive Player of the Week.

(Raleigh, NC) – Shaw will hold its first “Think Pink” softball game March 30 against cross-town rival Saint Augustine’s. During both games of the doubleheader the Lady Bears will wear pink jerseys in an effort to help raise awareness of breast cancer. 
 
Shaw Trio Receive CIAA Softball Honors
(Raleigh, NC) – Three Shaw softball players today received CIAA weekly honors. Erica Lafrades was named Offensive Player of the Week, Shanequah Goodson Defensive Player of the Week, and Monica Grimmage was named Player of the Week – the second straight week she has received that award.

DOVER, Del. – The North Carolina Central University softball team (5-24) suffered a hard fought loss to Colgate University (16-5) Sunday morning as the Lady Eagles tallied 10 hits and four RBIs to put on their best showing of the weekend, while the Raiders used 11 hits and seven RBIs to clinch a 7-5 victory over NCCU in day two action of the Sean Savage Epilepsy Awareness Tournament at the Hornets’ Nest in Dover, Del.

(WEST CHESTER, Pa.) West Chester University pitching held visiting Bowie State University to just three hits in two games, edging the Lady Bulldogs 5-3 in game one, but shutout BSU 14-0 in game two. The losses drop Bowie State's record to 11-14 overall.

DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University softball team (4-18) will face Winston-Salem State University (2-9) and East Carolina University (11-11) in a pair of doubleheaders this week with a trip to Winston-Salem State on Tuesday, March 23 before hosting East Carolina in Cary, N.C. on Wednesday, March 24.

CARY, N.C. – Five homeruns from the Campbell University (11-15-1) offense led the Camels to a Saturday afternoon sweep of North Carolina Central University (4-16) in doubleheader action at Thomas Brooks Park in Cary, N.C. The Lady Eagles fell in both games by the score of 11-2.

(BOWIE, Md. – March 19, 2010) Bowie State's softball team picked up a pair of home conference and divisional victories against Virginia Union defeating the Lady Panthers 11-1 in game one and then 18-0 in game two. BSU improves to 10-9 on the year while Virginia Union falls to 1-6 overall.
Lady Rams to Host Campbell Camels in Friday Doubleheader

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – The Winston-Salem State Lady Rams (2-7) will look to snap a string of recent struggles when they host the Campbell Camels (7-15-1), Friday evening. After losses in their last five games, including three losses away from Winston-Salem, N.C., the Lady Rams will return to the scene of their last victory when the team hosts the Campbell Camels at Randy Jones Field in Twin City Park.

Final Day of CIAA Softball Round-Up Cancelled

(RALEIGH, N.C.) The final day of the 2010 softball round-up has been cancelled due to unplayable field conditions.
Overnight rain in the Raleigh area caused the field to become unplayable for the final day of the in-conference tournament.
Bowie State was slated to play Saint Augustine's and Shaw. Both contests will be made up later this season.
